Minimum system requirements

Processor
Intel Pentium SU4100, AMD Athlon II Neo K325, or an equivalent 1.3 GHz CPU
Memory
3 GB RAM minimum (DDR3 or newer recommended)
Graphics
Integrated or dedicated GPU with 512 MB VRAM (GeForce 8800 GT / Radeon HD 5450 or better)
Storage
20 GB free disk space for a hard disk installation

Before you start

  • A USB flash drive of at least 16 GB (USB 3.0 or USB-C is faster to write).
  • A second computer running Windows 8 or newer, or a Debian-based Linux distro.
  • An active internet connection.

Back up your files before partitioning. Selecting the wrong disk during installation permanently erases data.

Hard disk installation (recommended)

Partitions or overwrites your internal drive for permanent use and the best performance.

Live media mode

Runs directly from the flashed drive without changing your computer's files. Speed depends on your flash drive.
