Version 1.0 “Grand Premiere” · released 20 July 2026

A trimmed XFCE desktop that boots quickly and stays responsive on machines from 2010 onward.
A Windows-like taskbar, start menu and file manager, so there is really nothing new to learn.
Retro icons, beveled panels and warm colors — paired with modern APT and Flatpak tooling.
WarpnixOS 1.0 was released on July 20th, 2026, built in a VirtualBox VM on a PC, tested on a ThinkPad T410, and remastered with Penguins' Eggs. It is free and open source under the GNU GPL v3.0.
